Wedding Hairstyles Sassy Style

Lori created this for brides who want to wear their hair down, but don't want an "everyday" look.

This style delivers with loose curls and fabulous hair jewels.

From Short to Long

Your hair should be at least chin length for this style. Our model's hair is quite long and Lori and her stylists chose to pin it up and under to create the illusion of a shoulder-length style.

Creating the Curls

ModelBride stylists sectioned the hair into small strands and used a curling iron to create ringlets all over the head. Each curl was immediately sprayed with a setting lotion to keep it defined and to give shine to the hair.

Random sections were then pinned over and under each other to create depth and texture.

A Spot of Sparkle

The model's bangs were gently combed off to the side and to balance the fullness, stylists arranged the three piece Gallery Comb Set behind her right ear. Our model is also wearing the Canterbury Crystal Stud Earrings, chosen because their small size complements the larger hair combs.

A single comb such as the Joyeux Comb or a Silk Flower Clip would also be a great choice.

Wedding Hairstyles Absolutley Glam

The key to this unique style is the fullness in the back. It's not a traditional chignon because it spans from just behind one ear and all the way across to the other side. Drama!

If your hair isn't long enough or thick enough, ask your stylist about hair padding, or consider a Hair Extension.

ModelBride stylists use extensions to achieve absolutely natural looking fullness and for this photo shoot Mara had a full set of the 18" Hair Extensions custom dyed to match her own color.

Smooth Start

If you hair is curly or wavy, have your stylist blow it out and use a flat iron for a smooth start. You may even consider having it straightened the day before as many stylists like to work with hair that's not freshly washed.

Creating the Style

To begin, Mara's hair extensions were secured throughout her head concentrating mostly toward the back where fullness is important. The hair was then braided about 2/3 of the way down, pulled away from her face in three distinct sections and pinned low at the back of the head.

Next, the ModelBride stylist used a twisting and weaving technique to incorporate the loose ends into a large, dramatic bun. The side part and loose sweep completes this soft look.

Extra Extra

Finally, Mara's hair was finished with three hair pins arranged off to one side. Her jewelry is dainty yet dramatic, the perfect balance for her hairstyle.
