Indian Bridal Lehnga With Orange Tones

There are few colors that are suitable for almost all shades of the Indian skin tone. Gold is one of them. And orange, which is the focus of today's article is another great color for Indian brides. Orange-gold tones brighten up the face of most Indian brides. It also exudes an overall look of vibrancy and indulgent richness.

If you are in doubt, try on a few different colored outfits, and compare yourself in the mirror. Remember, every individual has its own color - don't go by what is in fashion, or what you've seen on a model that looks great. Be sure to see if it's suitable for you - cause it's your wedding and you want to shine on that day.

Here's a few orange-gold bridal lehnga outfits to help you get started.

How To Pick The Perfect Bridal Shoes

Spending some time to pick out the perfect shoes for your wedding is just as important as the time spent on picking out your wedding dresses. After all, you will be on your feet for a good number of hours during your wedding day, from the ceremony to the photo-taking to the reception itself where you will be expected to meet, greet and mingle with your guests. You will want something that befits the occasion and is still beautiful and elegant.

Today, we have a write-up on tips that will help you pick out the perfect wedding shoes.

Tried-and-Tested Bridal Shoe Advice

Look out for strong and sexy super high heels with sturdy, thick heel (not stilletos) that will help you stay on your feet comfortably. Major trends today include details such as T-bards, criss-cross or ankle-straps. Other fall trends for weddingd apart from the traditional white and ivory colors, include black, grey and purple.

The key things to look out for when shoe-shopping is the width of the shoe, and the heel. With proper insoles you may be able to wear shoes that are a little too long, but you will not be able to walk properly if the shoes you pick are too wide or narrow. For better balance, the heel of the shoe should be positioned nearer to the centre of your heel, rather than at its edge.

The biggest mistake brides make when picking out their wedding shoes is to grab the most gorgeous looking pair of shoes even though it may be ill-fitting for their feet in the hopes that the pair of shoes will miraculously mould itself to their size and feet. That does not happen!

Also keep in mind that higher prices and designer labels are not an automatic indicator of comfort. The cut of the shoe and the shape of the feet is what will determine if the wedding shoe you pick is comfortable or not.

Shoe sizes can vary up to two sizes among brands, so try different pairs on, or check the size charts provided at shoe websites when shopping online.

Wedding Weight Loss Tips | Tone Up Your Abs for Your Wedding

Get a Flat Stomach in Time for Your Wedding

Whether you want to admit it to yourself or not, having a slim waistline makes one look better in their clothes.

So if you are a bride with a fast approaching wedding date, you would do well to spend what time you have remaining, to do the exercises that will help you tone up your tummy.

The more time you have available, the better chances you have of quickly trimming your waistline.

Keep in mind that the road to a flatter stomach incorporates a healthy diet, cardio exercises, and other exercises that engage the core muscles.

Here is what one personal trainer had to say about how to get a slimmer waistline:

Practising good posture throughout the day is really going to give you a flat stomach. No matter what you are doing in the gym, you should try to suck in their stomach, imagining that they are bringing their belly button to their spine.

If they are on the mat or on a machine, like the knee extension machine, they should bring their lower back to the mat or make sure it is in contact with the seat.

Think about constantly activating the abdominal muscles. For instance, when you are driving, you should sit up and pull your stomach in. It can be more effective than five minutes of abs work-out because you are constantly activating those muscles.

Isolation exercises are also good - isometric holds, like planks, to develop the deep-tissue muscles such as the transverse abdominis and the internal and external obliques. That helps support your posture and develops the muscles that keep the stomach flat.

Developing back muscles is important too. Most people want to do more abdominal work than back extension exercises, but it is always good to incorporate those. It is all about muscle balance.

If you work only on your abs, then your lower back will not be strong enough to help you sit up straight. If you do not work them out, you will start to bring your body forward, rather than maintain that good posture.

To do a back extension, lie down on your stomach and raise your hands and feet so that your stomach is the only thing touching the ground.

The above tips should help you get started on trimming your waistline for your wedding day. Click here for detailed wedding weight loss tips.

Bridal Style | Indian Inspired Wedding Dresses

Indian Inspired Wedding Dresses

Indian brides tend to wear a saree or lengha in a traditional Indian wedding. The common color in fashion for bridal wear was usually red, which signified the passion, and future of the marriage.

In today’s Indian weddings, the bride has a lot more options available to her. She can wear her bridal saree in a variety of styles. And the fashion in lengha designs have an East-West trend, which has increased its appeal for many young brides. Furthermore, the Indian bride has the option of wearing a range of fashionable colors other than the traditional red.

Today's bridal collection combines a flavor of the east and the west that defines perfection. There is embroidery of pearls, floral beadwork, lush extravagant, net borders with detailed cutwork, there is layering, and even after all that, there is still simplicity, which is what modern Indian brides want in their wedding dress.

White, off-white, gold and pastel colors are very much in fashion. The white on white work gives the Indian inspired wedding dress a western wedding dress feel yet the eastern design makes the wedding dress style exotic.

Here we take a look at some modern Indian inspired wedding dresses with an East and West combination that are in fashion.

Choosing Flowers for Your Indian Wedding in the Fall

It's still nice and warm in many parts of the US and the UK. But soon Fall will be upon us, and the leaves will be changing into beautiful hues of oranges, reds and yellows.

If you are planning on being wed in the Fall, please read on for some inspiration and ideas for the perfect Indian Fall wedding.

This article focuses on choosing the perfect Fall flowers for your wedding. Keep in mind that the flowers will set an overall theme for your Fall wedding, so taking the time to select them is crucial.

I like pairing flowers that are in contrast with the color of the wedding outfits. For instance, if you are choosing to wear a red toned wedding saree or wedding lehnga, then I would pick for your wedding bouquet something neutral. And vice versa.

Fall Flowers that are in Season include these popular choices:

Wedding Bouquet - Pink Zinnias
Pair This With Wedding Outfits that Are in Gold or Brown Tones

Wedding Bouquet - Red Gerbera Daisies

Wedding Bouquet - Orange Marigolds
Pair This Wedding Bouquet With an Ivory/Gold Wedding Outfit.

Wedding Bouquet - Red, White or Blue Roses
A Simple Red and White Rose Bouquet is Always Elegant
And Going with Something Unique Like Blue Roses Will Defintely Be Bold

Wedding Bouquet - Sunflowers
Striking Color for a Grand Indian Fall Wedding

South Asian Ethnic Design Wedding Cakes

You cannot have a wedding without a wedding cake! And one of the more impressive things that your wedding guests will remember, apart from your beautiful self in your lovely wedding gown, is the wedding cake.

An interesting trend I have noticed in the past few years or so in wedding cake designs for the South Asian community is ethnic inspired "embroidered" cake. That is, the cakes are decorated with ethnic inspired motifs. Some of them resemble embroidery you will see on South Asian or Indian clothes, and some others resemble elaborate bridal henna (mehndi) designs.

Whatever it is, the effect is stunning. It is almost a shame to have to cut into such a spectacular cake, but you can be sure your guests will remember it long after it's been diminished into their stomachs!

Take a look at these ethnic inspired wedding cakes, and if you inspired, copy the picture and take it to your wedding cake maker and see if they can't make you one just like it :)
