Wedding Hairstyles Absolutley Glam

The key to this unique style is the fullness in the back. It's not a traditional chignon because it spans from just behind one ear and all the way across to the other side. Drama!

If your hair isn't long enough or thick enough, ask your stylist about hair padding, or consider a Hair Extension.

ModelBride stylists use extensions to achieve absolutely natural looking fullness and for this photo shoot Mara had a full set of the 18" Hair Extensions custom dyed to match her own color.

Smooth Start

If you hair is curly or wavy, have your stylist blow it out and use a flat iron for a smooth start. You may even consider having it straightened the day before as many stylists like to work with hair that's not freshly washed.

Creating the Style

To begin, Mara's hair extensions were secured throughout her head concentrating mostly toward the back where fullness is important. The hair was then braided about 2/3 of the way down, pulled away from her face in three distinct sections and pinned low at the back of the head.

Next, the ModelBride stylist used a twisting and weaving technique to incorporate the loose ends into a large, dramatic bun. The side part and loose sweep completes this soft look.

Extra Extra

Finally, Mara's hair was finished with three hair pins arranged off to one side. Her jewelry is dainty yet dramatic, the perfect balance for her hairstyle.
