Wedding Hairstyles Boho Chic
So many brides are requesting their hair worn down these days, and Lori and her team of stylists created this look with a relaxed, bohemian style in mind.Finished with a funky, sparkling comb the look is anything but traditional.
Hair Type
Long, straight or wavy hair will work well for this style. If you have short or thin hair, Lori and her team often use extensions. The Custom 18" Hair Extension Set or the Custom 14" Hair Extension Set are dyed to match your own hair and can be placed in the front, back or sides of your head - wherever you need fullness and length.
Body and Texture
The idea is to give the hair an unstructured, tousled look. Our model, Haleigh has fairly straight hair so ModelBride stylists used a large barrel curling iron all over her head to form ringlets.
Stylists then went back through the hair with a crimping iron here and there. Crimping irons are now available with larger waves and the effect is much more natural than the blown out 'dos of the 1980's!
Tease and Twist
Next, the hair was teased at the crown for some height and fullness then the top layer of hair was smoothed over the teased portion. Lori recommends using a light hand here to maintain some texture.
The top and sides were then gently pulled back, twisted and loosely fastened with bobby pins.
Accessories
For a chic finishing touch, the ModelBride stylists chose the Flamenco Crystal Comb, an updated version of a Spanish peineta. It was placed in the hair at an angle in keeping with the relaxed style.
Haleigh is also wearing the Abigail Crystal Pendant Necklace, a great pairing for a v-neck gown.
Wedding Hairstyles Simply Sleek
This hairstyle is perfect for the bride who wants to look like herself on her wedding day just a bit more polished.This look works best on shoulder length hair or longer, however this look can be achieved on short hair by adding Hair Extensions.
Kathy's hair was sectioned, then sprayed with setting spray and rolled under with a large barrel curling iron and pinned into a set.
After letting the curls cool the curls were released. Kathy's hair was parted on the side, with the one side sweeping toward her brow. We teased her hair slightly at the crown of the head. Her hair was then brushed throughly to create her smooth look.
An vintage pearl and crystal ribbon headband finished her look with a touch of sleek sophistication.
Headbands are a great accessory for wearing your hair down yet keeping the hair away from the face and keeping your photographer happy!
The Tinsel Town or Nadalia headbands would also work with this style as well as the Bellezza Barrette.
Wedding Hairstyles Destination
This style is best for thick shoulder length hair or longer. Don't have either? No worries. A set of Hair Extensions can be used to duplicate this look. Katarina's entire head was sectioned, sprayed with setting spray and curled with a large barrel curling iron for fullness and volume at the root.
Each section of hair was slightly teased at the root for volume. The curls were pinned one by one and woven within one another to create the sectioning look. The ends were pinned up and under to give the illusion of short hair.
A light airy flower was used to carry out the softness of the hairstyle. For a softer floral look try the Soiree or Gardenia flower clip.
Wedding Hairstyles Perfectly Polished
This style depends on smooth hair so wavy or curly hair will have to be straightened first. No matter what your hair texture, consider using a smoothing product before styling.Good news for gals with thin hair, this style will work nicely for you! Get the Style
Our ModelBride stylist began by attaching the hair extension and curling Emma's hair with a large barrel iron to create fullness and help smooth the hair. Her hair was then brushed into a high pony tail and smoothed into an elegant smooth chignon. Three sculpted pin curls give a bit of texture.
To finish the look Emma's remaining hair in front was loosely swept back and pinned into the up-do.
Accessories
In the top photo Emma's updo is embellished with nothing more than a simple veil.
For Emma's second look, stylists added a set of the Jayne Hair Pins to highlight the sculpted curls. Another option would be to place a small tiara comb at the crown for a royal look.
Art Wedding Hairstyles Extensions
This look is great for the bride or her bridesmaids. The style is perfect for the lady who wants her hair out of her face yet not totally up.Shoulder length hair is best for this style, however this look can be achieved by adding Hair Extensions.
Katarina's hair was divided into large sections, sprayed with setting lotion and rolled with a medium size curling iron to create fullness and volume.
Her hair was parted on the side and then softly French braided along the top and side. The bottom section of her hair was then pinned loosely to the side to meet the braid.
The ribbon headpiece was then added and pinned into place for a sweet, romantic look.
